Happy Summer from all of us at KGI Design Group! Summer on Long Island means a lot of things: pool parties, beach visits, BBQs — but for us, summer equals interns!
KGI has three new interns on-board for the summer: Megan Van Aken, Alexis Poolos, and Andrea Tishman. We are thrilled to have the three of them on our team for the time being, and we can’t wait to see what they’ll accomplish here and beyond.
Welcome to the team, ladies!
Our owner Kim Poulos again emceed the annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation event held at Jackie Reilly’s in Bethpage, NY. KGI also helped with basket donations. We are hoping to help the coordinators of the event surpass their goal of raising $100,000 dollars cumulatively. Please visit www.stbaldricks.org to find out more about the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and how to donate.
KGI was honored to develop the branding and work together with Elizabeth Drake and Vincent Parker of Slattery Romm Entertainment on their first television pilot! Stand-In introduces Elizabeth Drake’s self-influenced character, Sara, as a struggling actress on her journey into urban twenty first century womanhood and overcoming life’s many turns such as her mother’s struggle with breast cancer and Sara’s own BCRA+ diagnosis. Please visit www.standinpilot.com for more information about Elizabeth Drake’s story and the Stand-In Pilot.
We are supporting Angels for Warriors and the Village of Northport as they come together the commemorate of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. Again, they will be flying American Flags in honor of our fallen heroes in their annual Vietnam Veterans Tribute. To honor a veteran near and dear to your heart, you can sponsor a flag for $25. Or, for an additional ten dollars, you can purchase and sponsor a flag to keep! Every purchase also includes a bonus online flag that will wave for a year. Each of these virtual flags represent 100 of the 58,220 casualties of the Vietnam War. For more about Angels for Warriors, and to help them reach their goal of flying 583 flags, please visit http://angelsforwarriors.org.
KGI has been given the opportunity to update the branding and create marketing materials for print and online as well as a series of promotional videos for the Taste of Hope NYC event. Owner, Kim Poulos and KGI consultants will be attending the event! The American Cancer Society’s Taste of Hope event in New York City will be taking place on Wednesday, May 25th. Anybody attending this event will not only be supporting the search to find a cure for cancer, but they will also be delighting their tastebuds! Please visit www.tasteofhopenyc.org for more information about the American Cancer Society and the Taste of Hope event!
Our owner Kim Poulos wrote an article for the Long-Islander titled Celebrating Women In Business. Kim writes about her experience as a businesswoman, and about her journey in making KGI Design Group what it is today. The article also discusses the steps it took for KGI to be NYS WBE certified. A great idea for all women owned businesses. Give it a read! And if you need more information drop us a line!
